Description
This quality Pinot Grigio is produced by Haltinger Winzer eG, in the Baden-Markgräflerland area of Germany. The vineyards are located on south-west facing slopes with chalky marl soils covered by loess, ideal conditions to express the aromatic and structural complexity of the grape variety.
The vinification includes manual harvesting followed by alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 17°C. A part of the wine, equivalent to 20%, ages in barriques, imparting depth and spicy nuances, while the remaining part is matured in steel to preserve freshness and varietal profile.
The aroma is elegant and complex, with notes of plums, pears, and pineapple, enriched by hints of chestnut and a slight touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is delicate yet structured, with a richness of extract that best represents the characteristics of Pinot Grigio grown in this area.
It pairs perfectly with turkey-based dishes and complements light roasts with finesse.
