Description

The Dogliani San Luigi from Cascina Corte is a red wine made from a selection of Dolcetto grapes harvested from various vineyards located at 400 meters altitude with eastern exposure. The calcareous and tuffaceous soils, combined with the varying age of the vines from 7 to 78 years, contribute to the complexity and elegance of this wine.

In the cellar, fermentation occurs naturally without the addition of yeast, with manual pumping-over, and without filtration or clarification. The wine is aged for about 10 months in steel and concrete, followed by a further 2 months of bottle aging.

To the eye, it presents an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, fresh varietal aromas of red fruit and wild berries such as cherries, sour cherries, currants, and raspberries emerge, creating an aromatic profile of remarkable intensity and clarity. On the palate, it is pleasant, characterized by a harmonious sequence of tannic and floral sensations, making it easy to drink, flavorful, and juicy.

This red wine is ideal with appetizers featuring raw meat and traditional Piedmontese vegetables, especially summer tomato salad. Perfect with soups and pasta, it also pairs excellently with white meats and tomato-based sauces.
