Description
The Etna Bianco Buonora by Tasca d'Almerita is produced at the Tascante Estate with Carricante grapes from the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in Sicily, particularly from the Montedolce, Sciaranuova, and Montelaguardia districts. The vineyards, planted at 600 meters above sea level, grow on terraced volcanic soils that contribute to defining the distinctive profile of the wine, characterized by a marked mineral imprint and a constantly evolving aromatic complexity.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18 °C, with fermentation lasting about 12 days. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out to preserve the wine's freshness and acidity. Aging continues in steel, in contact with the lees, for a period of four months, contributing to greater structure and aromatic depth.
In the glass, the wine presents with bright reflections and an olfactory profile dominated by sulfur notes, hints of hydrocarbons, and a distinct minerality. On the palate, it shows verticality, freshness, and a long, savory finish, typical of wines from volcanic soils.
It pairs perfectly with raw or cooked fish dishes, such as sea carpaccio and baked sea bream fillets.
