Description

What kind of wine is it

Brut Cuvée Royale from Tenuta Montenisa, a brand of Antinori, is a Franciacorta predominantly made with Chardonnay, complemented by Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco. The vinification follows the Traditional Method, with an extended maturation on the lees. This process gives the wine a fresh and composed style, distinguished by a fruity profile enhanced by pronounced yeasty notes.

Where it comes from

This wine is crafted in the heart of Franciacorta, a renowned area of Lombardy. The vineyards of Tenuta Montenisa are located close to Lake Iseo, a key geographical and climatic feature. The influence of the lake ensures optimal grape development and clearly defines the wine's territorial origin and the grapes used for this label.

How it is produced

The process begins with a meticulous manual harvest of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, and Pinot Bianco grapes. The free-run must undergoes primary alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks kept at controlled temperatures. According to the Traditional Method, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, maturing for a further 36 months on the lees to develop a well-defined structure.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a pale yellow color, topped with a creamy mousse and animated by a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. The nose offers fruity notes of white-fleshed peach, intertwined with pleasant hints of bread crust and yeast. On the palate, the sip is balanced and lively, ensuring a clean and consistent progression aligned with the aromatic profile.

Food pairing

The intrinsic aromas of Cuvée Royale shine when paired with light appetizers and as an accompaniment to aperitif time. It naturally complements fresh fish dishes, and prefers simple preparations that respect its finesse. It is equally suitable for pairing with delicate white meats and seasonal vegetable sides.

When to serve

This Brut is designed to enhance relaxed convivial moments and is impeccable as a meal opener thanks to its distinct and measured freshness. Its pronounced liveliness makes it a reliable choice for supporting lunches and dinners built around delicate flavors. Extended bottle maturation gives it character and makes its table service extremely versatile.
