Description

What kind of wine it is

Alma Rosé Assemblage by Bellavista is a refined Franciacorta Rosé Extra Brut, born from a harmonious blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The production follows the strict Traditional Method, featuring the gentle extraction of the free-run must and a prolonged maturation on the lees for about thirty months. Part of the base wines is aged in oak barrels, thus providing the final profile with balanced structure and delightful complexity—making it perfect from aperitif through the meal.

Where it comes from

It is crafted in the heart of Franciacorta, Lombardy, from carefully selected vineyards belonging to the Bellavista estate. Grapes are sourced from specific plots, meticulously chosen to guarantee optimal quality consistency in the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend. The average vine age of around twenty-eight years ensures outstanding fruit, essential for supporting a long maturation and defining a style focused on finesse and expressive clarity.

How it is made

The manual harvest takes place between the end of August and early September, followed by gentle pressing to extract only the free-run must. The second fermentation according to the Traditional Method starts with bottling in June, followed by about thirty months resting on the lees, with a fraction of the wine maturing in oak barrels. The practice of manual riddling further enriches the sensory quality and precision of the final result.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a bright antique pink color, enlivened by a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet reveals a delicate and pure profile, featuring elegant notes of orange blossom and well-integrated hints of candied citrus fruits. On the palate, it is fresh and fragrant, offering a pleasant breadth supported by a perfect balance of acidity and minerality, finally closing with a long and crystalline finish.

Food pairings

Excellent as an aperitif, this Franciacorta creates a natural harmony with fish dishes and shellfish, where its pronounced freshness complements delicate textures and sea-salt savors. Its clean taste also allows it to pair beautifully with white meats, without ever overpowering the dishes. It is particularly recommended with raw preparations and light cooking, especially enhancing the flavors of a traditional seafood risotto.

When to serve it

This Extra Brut is the ideal choice for occasions that call for a precise and focused sip, perfect for opening an event or accompanying an entire seafood menu. Its balanced nature makes it a key player at lunches and dinners where the goal is perfect harmony between freshness and structure. Thanks to the extended maturation on the lees, it has a solid foundation that guarantees a precise taste experience, making it a wine to enjoy immediately or to cellar and appreciate its remarkable evolution over time.
