Description

Franciacorta Nature '61 from Berlucchi is mainly produced from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, coming from the vineyards owned by Arzelle, Rovere, San Carlo and Ragnoli.

The harvest takes place by hand in the third decade of August, followed by soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation in steel at controlled temperature. After a 6-month refinement in oak barrique, the second fermentation starts and ends with an aging of at least 5 years on its lees.

It presents itself at the sight of a beautiful intense straw yellow with light golden hues, and with an abundant and creamy persistent foam. The perlage is very minute and sinuous. The nose offers an expressive aroma with a mineral character, which mixes with delicate hints of citrus, lychee and rye bread. On the palate it is fresh and structured, with a great gustatory balance.

Perfect throughout the meal, this Millesimato goes well with refined appetizers, fish or white meat based dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
