Description
What kind of wine it is
The Franciacorta Extra Brut Cuvée Prestige by Ca’ del Bosco is a Traditional Method wine crafted from a blend that highlights Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. It is born from the union of base wines with the addition of prestigious reserves, resulting in a balanced style of absolute precision. Aging on the lees for twenty-eight months shapes an elegant profile, fresh and fruity, capable of delivering remarkable complexity.
Where it comes from
This wine comes from the Franciacorta appellation and is the result of a careful selection of grapes harvested from one hundred thirty-four plots. Its origins in a hilly context support a clear and distinctive expression, perfectly in line with the producer’s style. This label stands as a faithful territorial synthesis, able to guarantee a constant overall character in every blend.
How it is produced
The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo separate vinification to preserve each varietal characteristic. The grapes are cooled, carefully selected, and pressed whole. The different base wines are then used to create the final blend, together with the addition of reserve vintages. The long period of aging on the lees before release ensures the wine has great structure, substantial balance, and profound finesse.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow color, consistent with the Extra Brut style. The bouquet releases notes of peach and citrus, enhanced by almond nuances that outline a clean aroma. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity, with a lively energy and a harmonious finish. The expected aging period also gives a clear density to the sip.
Pairings
It proves extremely suitable for accompanying light appetizers, as it offers lively freshness and defined clarity on the palate. It's the perfect match for fish dishes and raw seafood, delicately supporting the primary ingredients. It also creates an excellent pairing with fresh cheeses and successfully enhances classic preparations such as seafood salad or a fine seafood risotto.
When to serve
This Franciacorta easily adapts to a variety of occasions thanks to its classic and rigorous character. Its innate elegance makes it appealing when a precise sip with clear flavor immediacy is sought. It is the ideal option to accompany entire seafood menus and performs at its best in convivial settings requiring absolute finesse and a smooth drinkability.
