Description

The Friuli Colli Orientali Merlot Fusco of the La Roncaia company was born in the company vineyards located in the municipality of Nimis, in the heart of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali.

It is produced entirely with Merlot grapes, harvested and selected by hand at the right level of ripeness and left to dry for about 8 weeks. Fermentation takes place, with 25 days maceration, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for more than 16 months, half new and half of second passage, and then stop further in the bottle in order to give the wine greater maturity and balance.

The Fusco of the La Roncaia company has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with herbaceous notes that mix with evident hints of small red fruits with elegance. On the palate it is warm and structured, rightly tannic and highly persistent.

Perfect to accompany tasty first courses, it is ideal in combination with red meat dishes.
