Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Ràvost Merlot Riserva Giulio Locatelli Riserva 2014 Tenuta di Angoris

The Merlot Riserva Giulio Locatelli Ràvost was born in the vineyards of the Tenuta di Angoris, located in the famous Friulian DOC of the Colli Orientali.

Obtained exclusively from Merlot grapes, harvested in the last weeks of September, the must remains in contact with the skins for the duration of the alcoholic fermentation. Then 80% of the wine is placed in stainless steel containers, while the remaining 20% rests for 10 months in tonneaux. Subsequently, the reassembled product is aged in steel for 2 months and for another 8 months in glass, before being placed on the market.

Merlot Riserva Giulio Locatelli Ràvost has an impenetrable ruby red color. The nose dominates the scene with spices, with slightly smoky hints, enriched with notes of berries and ethereal which give the wine a great personality. On the palate it is warm and well-structured, with well-polished tannins and excellent and persistent acidity.

Perfect with game and grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with first courses based on wild boar ragout.
