Description
The Schioppettino di Prepotto comes from the Colli Orientali del Friuli area, to be precise from the surroundings of the municipality of Prepotto.
It consists of pure Schioppettino grapes, harvested from vineyards located between 90 and 140 meters above sea level. The soils are characterized by a particular morphological conformation defined by marls and sandstones of Eocene origin. The vinification carried out in steel containers precedes the refinement phase in barrique, which lasts 12 months. Another 12 months of bottle aging complete the process.
It has an intense ruby red color in the glass. Notes of cherry, earth, smoked and a variety of spices make up the olfactory profile of this Schioppettino which, in the mouth, confirms the peppery tract and reveals a good structure.
Ideal to accompany pasta with four cheeses.
