Friuli Colli Orientali DOC Schioppettino 2015 Tenuta di Angoris
Description
The Friuli Colli Orientali Schioppettino of the Tenuta di Angoris was born in vineyards located in Stabili della Rocca, in the municipality of Cormòns, the capital of Friuli wine.
It is produced exclusively with Schioppettino grapes, a variety called like this because its grains have a thicker than normal skin, which if crushed, "schioppa". The must remains in contact with the skins during alcoholic fermentation and, after malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in barrique. Finally, before marketing, it rests for another 4 months in the bottle.
It is characterized by a ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose opens with hints of small red fruits enriched with pleasant spicy notes of black pepper, typical of the grape variety. On the palate it is dry, elegant, with a good structure, good acidity and an aftertaste with spicy nuances.
Perfect to accompany appetizers and dishes based on meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with game and roasts.
