Gattinara DOCG 2007 Vallana

the Gattinara di Vallana comes from vineyards located on the beautiful hills of the municipality of Vercelli, in the heart of the DOCG Gattinara.

It is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand in the first ten days of October. The vinification takes place in cement vats, after which the wine ages for 24 months in large oak barrels and ages in bottle for another couple of years before being placed on the market.

This Gattinara di Vallana is a garnet red wine of beautiful intensity. The nose offers an elegant bouquet, where the notes of tobacco and leather alternate with hints of licorice, wet earth and red fruits. In the mouth it is gentle and deep, with well-resolved tannins and a pleasantly fruity and structured finish.

Excellent to serve with elaborate dishes and red meats, it is ideal in accompaniment with game and grilled meat.
