Gavi DOCG Pisé 2012 La Raia
Description
La Raia's Gavi Pisé was born in vineyards located in Novi Ligure, in the heart of Piedmont.
It is produced exclusively with Cortese grapes, harvested only by hand during the second half of September. The static decanting of the must, without oenological additives, takes place at low temperature. The measured contact with oxygen and the attention to the transformation steps enhance the original characteristics of the vine and of the territory. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature for 20-25 days. Subsequently the wine ages in stainless steel tanks for 12 months before being bottled.
Pisé is characterized by a bright straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose opens with a large and intense bouquet, with floral scents, enriched with pleasant aromas of pear and honey. On the palate it is rich and pleasantly harmonious, with a persistent and warm finish.
Perfect to accompany raw fish and shellfish, it is ideal in combination with first courses and fresh cheeses.
