Description

The Nero d'Avola Sicily of the Sosta Tre Santi di Nicosia line comes from vineyards located on the western side of Etna.

It is mainly produced with Nero d'Avola and Syrah grapes, harvested and selected by hand at the end of September. After a short cold maceration, fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, for 3 weeks, at a controlled temperature of 22 ° C. After malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barriques and for another 8 months in bottle before being placed on the market.

This Nero d'Avola Riserva has a ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with an intense bouquet of spices and fruit jam, enriched with balsamic notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, with a pleasantly long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany red meats and roasted game, it is ideal in combination with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
