Description
The Irpinia Campi Taurasini Macri of the Russo Taurasi cellars was born in the youngest vineyards of the La Carazita estate, in the Taurasine hills.
It is produced with pure Aglianico grapes, harvested late during the month of November. After a long maceration in steel, which leaves the freshness characteristics of the grape unaltered, the wine ages first in steel tanks and then in wooden barrels, developing a great balance. Maturation is completed with a period of refinement in the bottle.
Macri is a red-colored wine with evident purple hues. The bouquet is intense and pleasant, with hints of red fruits and spices. On the palate it reveals a good structure and a persistent, slightly tannic finish.
Perfect to accompany red meat dishes, it is ideal in combination with typical aged cheeses of the Irpinia tradition.
