Description

Serpico is an Aglianico born in vineyards located in the heart of the Irpinia DOC.

It is produced exclusively with Aglianico grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. The fermentation takes place, with maceration, in steel tanks for about 3-4 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for a minimum of 18 months in French oak barriques and large medium toasted barrels, and finally for another 12 months in the bottle, before being placed on the market.

It is characterized by a ruby red colour. The nose opens with a complex and fruity bouquet of cherry, sweet spices, licorice, coffee and cocoa. The sip is balanced, with elegant tannins, which accompany towards a mineral and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany stewed wild boar and noble roast poultry, as well as with aged cheeses.
