Description
The Cuvée Marie Sec of Uroulat originates in Jurancon, a wine-making denomination which refers to the homonymous municipality located in South-West France.
Gros Manseng is the main grape variety of this white blend, which also includes a small portion of Courbu. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Pyrenees, from which they are influenced climatically. They have a slope and exposure facing South / South-West, and are composed of vines of about 20 years of age. The soils are extremely pebbly, on the surface, and characterized by a mineral profile. The harvest takes place manually around the middle of October. Once transported to the cellar, the grapes are softly pressed and the must obtained is left to ferment in barrels, 10% new. The refinement phase continues within them for a period of about 10 months.
Straw yellow in color, it has a bouquet based on white fruit, citrus and mineral notes. The fruit returns to the mouth and is managed by a balance of finesse. It is based on a well-structured body and a citrus finish.
