Kamptal DAC Grüner Veltliner L&T 2016 Brundlmayer
Description
Brundlmayer's Grüner Veltliner comes from vineyards located in the Langenlois area of Lower Austria. Bordering on wooded land, these vineyards have soils defined by a particular schist rock formation called Gföhler Gneis, capable of giving wines an extraordinary mineral trait.
It is composed of 100% grapes of the homonymous variety. Following the harvest, which takes place when the grapes are fully ripe, the must obtained is left to ferment at low temperatures. A maturation in large oak barrels makes this white ready for marketing.
At sight it has a rather intense straw yellow color. The aromas turn on citrus fruity notes and on white floral notes, a background of herbaceous hints that recall the fragrant wild mountain blooms. The taste shows a good balance and a very fine, marked rocky minerality. Closes in a precise and long finish.
Perfect with white meat and vegetable dishes, but also with fish. Its sapid vein with finesse makes it very suitable for escorting pork dishes from traditional Austrian and South Tyrolean cuisine.
