Kremstal Reserve DAC Riesling Steiner Kögl 2015 Salomon
Description
The Riesling Reserve Steiner Kögl originates in the Austrian region called Kremstal, on the border with the neighboring Wachau.
Here the soils are characterized by a stretch of absolute minerality, composed of gneis, granite and schistose rocks and a partial presence of loess. The climate is characterized by low rainfall, which makes the land rather arid, and is influenced by its proximity to the Danube. The grapes used for this Riesling Reserve come from terraced vineyards, made up of vines 50 years of age planted on a slate-rich rocky substrate. It ferments and refines in steel only, so as to preserve its distinctive characteristics to the maximum of expressive integrity.
Straw yellow color, with a tendency to veer towards greenish tones. Its perfume is reminiscent of citrus fruits, orange peel, white peach and apricot, set against a highly refined mineral background. At the sip it confirms the aromatic intensity and the fresh-savory weave. The citrus texture emerges in a balanced and persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany a swordfish fillet with herbs.
