Description
The Langhe Nebbiolo of the Fratelli Seghesio winery originates from the wonderful hill on which Monforte d'Alba stands, defined by a clayey soil rich in limestone marl.
It is a 100% Nebbiolo red, coming from 25-year-old vines located at an altitude of about 350 meters above sea level. The harvest takes place manually and the entire wine-making process is aimed at preserving the territorial and varietal expressiveness.
At sight it shows a garnet red color, defined by that beautiful shine of the variety. The nose shows fruity aromas of cherry and red berries, with a pleasant background of violets. The taste affirms a tannic trait in perfect balance with the sapid vein and the soft sip. Closes in a moderate persistence.
Excellent if combined with red meat or cheeses, with a not excessively intense flavor. Particularly suitable for medium-aged Castelmagno.
