Description
Langhe Rosso Giàrborina is a wine produced by Elio Altare in the municipality of La Morra, using Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards of varying average age, situated on marl-clay-sandy soils facing south. Production is extremely limited, reflecting a philosophy focused on quality and enhancing the local terroir.
The winemaking process involves maceration on the skins in a rotofermenter at controlled temperature for several days, a technique that allows for gentle and effective extraction. The wine is then aged in new French barriques, where it matures for a long period, developing aromatic complexity, structure, and refined tannins.
It displays a ruby red color tending towards garnet. The bouquet is broad, round, and fresh, featuring elegant balsamic notes accompanied by hints of dried flowers and raspberry. On the palate, it expresses freshness and harmony, with reminders of small red fruits such as raspberry and currant, supported by soft tannins and a long, balanced persistence.
Ideal paired with red meats, roasts, and aged cheeses.
