Description

What kind of wine it is

Ricossa Langhe Nebbiolo is a young red wine from the Langhe made from Nebbiolo grapes. It offers a fresh and harmonious style, with well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. Stainless steel vinification preserves the purity of the fruit and varietal aromas, while a short aging period in steel and then in the bottle enhances immediacy and drinkability.

Where it comes from

This Nebbiolo comes from the heart of the Langhe, from vineyards planted on sedimentary and marine-origin soils. A microclimate with mild summers and cool nights encourages the development of aromas and acidity, giving the wine a distinctive sense of place and a structure tied to its origins.

How it is made

After vinification in stainless steel, the wine ages for a few months both in steel and in the bottle. This process helps to maintain freshness and aromatic integrity.

Tasting notes

Brilliant light ruby red with garnet reflections. The nose reveals notes of dried violets, cherry in spirit, and light spices such as white pepper and licorice. On the palate, it is fresh with velvety tannins and a savoriness that supports the persistence, leading to a balanced and fruity finish.

Food pairings

Ricossa Langhe Nebbiolo pairs well with grilled red meats, mature cheeses, and traditional Piedmontese dishes. It enhances the freshness and balanced tannins alongside flavorful preparations.

When to serve it

It is best enjoyed young to appreciate its aromatic vibrancy and freshness. Serve at 16-18 °C in large glasses and avoid sudden temperature changes to bring out the wine’s aroma and persistence.
