Description
The Grande Réserve des Challières from the Bonpas estate is a white wine made from Grenache Blanc, Ugni, Rolle, and Clairette grapes grown in the vineyards of the Luberon Regional Park, situated at an average altitude of 300 meters. The estate's name derives from "Bon passage", referring to the safe crossing of the Durance River that once linked Rome to Avignon.
Some grapes are harvested at night to preserve their freshness. The varietals are vinified separately to maintain their typical characteristics. Grenache Blanc and Rolle are aged on the lees to impart volume and buttery notes, while Clairette is fermented at very low temperatures with a slight oxygen input to retain its natural aromas and acidity.
It displays a clear and bright color. The bouquet is expressive, with scents of summer fruits like apricot and peach, accompanied by exotic notes of mango, citrus, and white flowers such as acacia and hawthorn. The attack is lively and fresh, with a harmonious and round sip, and aromas that pleasantly linger.
Ideal to accompany oysters, grilled sea bass, or as an aperitif.
