Marche IGT Marinè 2012 Fontezoppa

Marinè was born in the splendid hilly setting of the Civitanova Marche area, in the vineyards of Cantine Fontezoppa.

This wine is made exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, selected and harvested by hand. After a classic red vinification, the must is left to mature in large French oak barrels for about 18 months. The product is neither filtered nor clarified and it finishes aging in glass before being put on the market.

Marinè di Fontezoppa has a very intense ruby red color. The nose shows a remarkable elegance and aromatic complexity, with the fruity notes that are reached by sweet spices and aromatic herbs, with very persuasive fungal notes and a refined truffle aroma that emerges in the finish. In the mouth it shows a good body, with silky tannins and a mineral note that accompany towards a persistent and spicy finish.

Perfect with important dishes based on red meats, braised meats and game also with feathers. Excellent with pencianelle from Sassoferrato, a typical first course from the Marche region.
