Description

Botrosecco Maremma Toscana DOC comes from the vineyards of Le Mortelle, an estate owned by the Antinori family, located in the heart of the lower Maremma, in the province of Grosseto.

It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand. Once destemmed and crushed, the grapes were then placed in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of about 8-10 ° C for 4-5 days, in order to enhance the varietal aromatic part and maintain greater fruit integrity. With alcoholic fermentation, the temperature rose to about 25 ° C, with a maceration of about 15 days. With the racking then, the wine was racked into stainless steel tanks where it also underwent malolactic fermentation by the end of the year. Subsequently the wine matured for 12 months in barrique and is refined in the bottle.

It presents an intense red color to the eye. The nose opens with a bouquet of ripe red fruits that mix with aromas of undergrowth, spices, white pepper and mint. On the palate it is velvety, savory, with a vibrant finish and a fruity aftertaste.

Perfect to combine with cold cuts and salami, it is ideal to serve with red meat cooked on the grill and stewed meat recipes.
