Description
The Meursault Blanc by Maison Ropiteau Frères is produced in the renowned appellation located in Côte de Beaune, south of Beaune, covering an area of about 396 hectares. Famous almost exclusively for its white wines, which make up 95% of production, this terroir is distinguished by its clay and limestone soils. The grapes come from vineyards located both on slopes and flat areas, with south and southeast exposure.
Made from hand-picked and selected Chardonnay grapes, the wine is gently pressed in a pneumatic press. Fermentation and aging take place in barrels, 20% of which are new, to enhance the fruit's richness and aromatic depth. The wine remains in contact with fine lees throughout the aging process, contributing to the development of opulence and complexity.
It appears bright gold to the eye. On the nose, floral aromas of white flowers are perceived. The palate is rich and opulent, with an enveloping structure and a creamy sensation that enhances the varietal notes of Chardonnay.
Ideal with lobster, crayfish, poultry or veal in cream sauce, foie gras, and blue cheeses.
