Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG Vigne a Porrona 2014 Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari

The Montecucco Sangiovese Vigne in Porrona originates in the homonymous estate, located in the municipality of Cinigiano, in the province of Grosseto.

It is produced almost entirely with Sangiovese grapes, and with small additions of Colorino grapes, harvested by hand. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, this wine ages for 12 months in oak tonneaux before being bottled.

It appears at the sight of an intense ruby red color. The nose offers a sensual and generous aroma of red berry fruit, achieved by elegant balsamic and spicy nuances. In the mouth it is full and warm, with powerful and ripe tannins.

Perfect in the company of first courses with game ragù, it is ideally matched with medium-long aged cheeses.
