Description

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo of the Casale Vecchio di Fantini Farnese line comes from vineyards located in the municipalities of Colonnella, Ancarano, Controguerra and Roseto degli Abruzzi, in the province of Teramo.

It is produced with pure Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place initially at low temperature in order to increase the extraction of polyphenols, substances responsible for the red color of the wine, and then finish at a controlled temperature of 27 ° C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for about 6 months in barriques, before being bottled.

Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Fantini Farnese has a limpid ruby red color with purple reflections. The nose opens with an intense and complex bouquet, with hints of ripe red fruit, enriched with sweet notes of amaretto and marzipan. On the palate it is dry, warm and soft, with fine tannins, excellent flavor and balance.

This red wine is perfect to accompany rich first courses and all meat dishes.
