Napa Valley AVA Chardonnay Antica 2015 Marchesi Antinori

The Napa Valley Chardonnay Antica dei Marchesi Antinori was born in vineyards located in the eastern mountains of Napa Valley, California, an area chosen by the Antinori family for its strong vocation for viticulture.

It is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested between September and October in the coolest hours of the morning, to preserve its aromas. After a soft pressing, the grapes are transferred to French oak barriques for alcoholic fermentation in the cellar at controlled temperature and, subsequently, the wine remains in barriques on the lees for 7 months for malolactic fermentation.

The Chardonnay Antica is a wine with a rich and mature aroma, balanced by a pleasant delicacy. The nose opens with hints of peach and pear, with pleasant shades of vanilla and toasted notes. In the mouth it is deep and soft, with a long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany marinated fish dishes, it is ideal to accompany shellfish, especially lobster.
