Description
The Chardonnay from Viña Zorzal is produced in the heart of the Ribera Baja in Navarra, in the municipality of Corella, where the Sanz family has been cultivating their vineyards for over thirty years. This wine represents an authentic vision of Chardonnay, interpreted through a territorial lens and with particular attention to environmental sustainability. The vineyards are located around Fitero, where the soil and climate allow for grapes of great freshness and balance.
The harvest is done by hand and takes place at night to preserve the aromatic integrity of the grapes. After gentle pressing, the free-run must is naturally clarified cold and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 14°C and 15°C. At the end of fermentation, the wine is racked, stabilized, and bottled young to preserve the intact primary varietal aromas.
It appears clear and bright, with a medium intensity greenish color. The olfactory profile is clean and delicate, with notes of lemon, pineapple, and light honeyed nuances. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and well-structured, with aromas of white fruit, mineral sensations, and a long, refreshing finish.
Excellent with risottos, vegetable first courses, steamed fish, or delicate white meats.
