Description
This extra virgin olive oil comes from the 1574 olive trees owned by the "Greppo" estate, the same where the famous Brunello di Montalcino di Biondi-Santi saw the light.
The olive harvest, which reached early ripening, with a slightly lower than average production, took place between 20 October and 12 November. The milling of the olives of the Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino varieties took place in the cold, using a continuous cycle crusher, to guarantee the quality and integrity of the product.
The extra virgin olive oil produced by the "Greppo" estate is yellow, with bright green shades. It is characterized by a medium fruity, with delicate aromas of green grass and almonds. The mouth is characterized by a pleasant spiciness and a good persistence.
To be used preferably raw to season salads, soups, first courses and main courses of fish or roasted meat, it is the ideal accompaniment for traditional Tuscan dishes.
