Description

The Pinot Noir of the Oltrepò Pavese Noir of Tenuta Mazzolino comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Corvino San Quirico, in the province of Pavia.

It is obtained exclusively from Pinot Noir clones imported from Burgundy, whose grapes are manually harvested in boxes at the right ripeness, with the selection of perfectly intact and healthy bunches. Fermentation takes place in cubic-shaped stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 21 days. After a short period in steel, the wine ages for about 12 months in French oak barriques and for a further 12 months in bottle, before being marketed.

It has a ruby red color with light orange reflections. The nose opens with elegant aromas of small red fruits, dog rose and leather. On the palate it is full and rich, with a pleasantly long and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauces, this wine is ideal in combination with roasts and stewed meats.
