Orcia DOC Belsedere 2009 Tenuta Belsedere
Description
The Orcia Belsedere of Tenuta Belsedere was born in vineyards located on the Sienese hills, in the Sienese municipality of Trequanda.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. After careful selection in the vineyard, the grapes are fermented with maceration on the skins for about 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C. The wine then ages in barriques for 6-8 months and ages in bottle for another 3 months before being placed on the market.
Belsedere is a very intense ruby red wine. The bouquet is elegant and complex and has evident hints of berries. In the mouth it is dry and full of character, with a good structure and a long and persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats, game and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses, such as Pecorino Toscano delle Crete Senesi, and cured meats, in particular Cinta Senese.
