Description
A volume that fully deals with everything related to wine. The book is divided into three parts. The first explains what wine is: how it is born, the territory, the grapes, winemaking, aging, the current regulations. The second part deals with the relationship between us and wine: how you buy it, the producer, the wine shop, the large online distribution; how to read the label; which wines to choose and how to keep them. Finally the service, the tasting, the terminology of the wine and the general matching criteria. The third part deals, one by one, with the main types of wines: white, rosé, red, sweet-passito-muffati, sparkling wines. Each one describes the characteristics, the best known Italian and foreign varieties, the most correct ways to consume them, the combinations and recipes that have wine among their ingredients or that are particularly suitable for a specific combination. There will also be small tables with the most well-known DOCs with some indication of the region of origin and the main characteristics, both for Italian wines and for the world's most readily available wines.
