Description
Pernand-Vergelesses by Olivier Leflaive is a white wine made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the northern part of the Corton hill in Burgundy, on limestone-clay soils rich in stones that impart structure and elegance. The vineyards, set in a natural amphitheater and cultivated with sustainable methods, benefit from ideal altitudes and exposures for balanced ripening.
The winemaking process involves whole bunches with static settling of the must, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in oak barrels; the maturation takes place in wood, with a short final stage in steel to preserve freshness and aromatic precision.
On the nose, it stands out for its finesse and vibrancy, while on the palate it reveals a well-defined, juicy, and harmonious structure, supported by pleasant energy and an elegant, persistent finish.
It pairs perfectly with white meats, poultry, and soft cheeses.
