Pfalz QbA Grosse Lage Riesling Trocken Forster Jesuitengarten GG 2014 Dr. von Bassermann - Jordan
Description
The Riesling Trocken GG Forster Jesuitengarten comes from the German region of the Palatinate, precisely in the surroundings of Forst.
The vineyards from which this Riesling Renano in purity originates are known for being able to give their wines great complexity. Gravel, clay, limestone and basaltic rocks define the soils of local vineyards, which leave a peculiar mineral trace in the grapes. The harvest takes place by entering the field several times to select and collect the bunches. After pressing, the must is fermented by the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the skins. It remains in steel in contact with its yeasts for some time and is finally bottled.
Straw yellow, it has a bouquet of aromas that fade on the citrus fruit of grapefruit, lemon, cedar and the sweeter ones of peach and apricot; a slight herbaceous note is integrated into a mineral background. The taste confirms the olfactory personality; the body is full and fine, marked by a beautiful flavor. The forecast of refinement in the bottle reaches 15 years.
Perfect to accompany a veal stew with potatoes.
