Pfalz QbA VDP Gutswein Sauvignon Blanc Trocken 2015 Rebholz
Description
Sauvignon Blanc Trocken from Rebholz comes from vineyards located in the Pfalz, south-western region of Germany, strongly suited to the cultivation of white berried grapes. The vineyards used have soils mainly consisting of red sandstone.
Following the selection and harvest of the Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the grapes are pressed and subjected to 24 hours of maceration in which the must remains in contact with the skins. A subsequent clarification by natural sedimentation makes the must ready to begin alcoholic fermentation, which takes place inside steel containers.
It has a straw yellow color. The bouquet is typically based on vegetal and herbaceous tones, among which the nettle stands out, inserted in a fruity background of currants and gooseberries. In the mouth it preserves the fragrance of the fruit, which is expressed on a good aromaticity and a body sculpted by freshness and flavor. Good persistence and agility to drink.
Excellent to accompany first courses or preparations with pork that is not overly elaborated. Recommended especially in combination with a baked pork loin.
