Piemonte DOC Cortese Naiss 2015 Cascina Giovinale
Description
The Naiss was born in the vineyards of the Piedmontese company Cascina Giovinale, located in the splendid area of Monferrato.
It is made exclusively with Cortese grapes, harvested when fully ripe in the second ten days of September. A soft pressing follows, where the must is separated from the skins, and a low temperature fermentation. Finally, the wine is separated from the coarse lees and stored in steel tanks undergoing weekly batonage. It is bottled in early March.
The Cascina Giovinale Naiss has a straw yellow color. The nose brings the typical aromas of the grape: pear and ripe peach. In the mouth it shows a wine with good body and interesting acidity, with a good general harmony that accompanies towards a persistent and aromatic finish.
It goes very well with fish and shellfish dishes.
