Description
The Sur La Roche by Eve and Michel Rey is a French white wine produced in the heart of Burgundy, in the Pouilly-Fuissé designation, from old Chardonnay vines grown on the limestone slopes of the Rock of Vergisson. The unique terroir, with southeast exposure and stony clay-limestone soils, favors optimal grape ripening and lends the wine elegance and character.
The vinification follows traditional Burgundy methods, with fermentation and aging taking place in oak barrels, contributing to the development of a complex structure and rich aromatic profile. The wine is allowed to mature slowly to fully express the typicity of the "Sur La Roche" terroir.
On the nose, it presents remarkable aromatic complexity, with aromas of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, and light mineral nuances. On the palate, it is full and round, with well-balanced freshness, a silky texture, and a persistent finish that confirms the elegance of the grape variety.
It pairs perfectly with fish dishes like hake with onions or delicate preparations with citrus.
