Primitivo di Manduria DOC Il Morante 2020 La Pruina

The Morante of the La Pruina company is a splendid expression of Primitivo di Manduria that results from the production of grapes rich in color and aromas in the heart of Salento. The word "bloom" refers to the slight dust that forms naturally on the skins of the grapes, particularly evident in older vines.

The harvest takes place in a slightly late period allowing the perfect ripening of the bunches. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages for at least 12 months in French oak barriques of first passage.

It has a sparkling ruby red color that tends to garnet. On the nose it draws a sensory picture that immediately highlights the notes of small berries and red flowers, with an oriental spice that makes the experience more compelling and complex on the nose. It enters the palate with its warmth but also with lots of fruit, never dominated thanks to a skilful use of wood. It strikes for softness and charm but also for body and silkiness.

Recommended in combination with a grilled steak, it goes well with a platter of aged cheeses.
