Primitivo di Manduria DOC Villa Santera 2016 Leone de Castris

Villa Santera was born from the vineyards of the famous Leone De Castris company, located on the eastern coast of Puglia, in the heart of the DOC Primitivo di Manduria.

This wine is produced entirely with Primitivo di Manduria grapes, harvested in the first ten days of September. Maceration and fermentation take place at a temperature of around 20-22 ° C, followed by aging in cask for at least 6 months and for another 3 months in bottle, before being released on the market.

It has a dark red color, with purple traits. The nose opens with intense aromas of plum and sour cherries, enriched with spicy notes of ginger and vanilla. On the palate it is warm, full-bodied and has a very pleasant general silkiness.

To be consumed within the first 5 years of life, this pure Primitivo is excellent to accompany grilled meat, well-prepared first courses and aged cheeses.
