Rheingau QbA VDP Erste Lage Riesling Trocken Kiedrich Klosterberg 2016 Robert Weil
Description
This dry Riesling comes from the Kiedrich Klostenberg vineyard, one of the most suitable in the Rheingau and emblematic for the wine region itself. The rockyness and friability of its soil generate a wine with deep minerality. It owes its name to the ancient path, in German Klosterweg , which connected the ancient Cistercian abbey of Kloster Eberbach and the municipality of Kiedrich.
It is the result of a winemaking process in which thousands of precautions are put in place, both in the transport phase and in the continuous monitoring of fermentation. This takes place spontaneously and using only indigenous yeasts.
Bright pale straw yellow, shows intriguing notes of Mirabella plum and wild flowers on the nose. The sip is lively and full of flavor, elegant and expressive.
Suitable in the company of spicy dishes and seafood risotto.
