Description

A Cesteira is a white wine produced by Bodegas Fulcro in the Salnés area of Galicia, made from Albarino grapes grown in a small vineyard of only 0.5 hectares. The vines, trained on a pergola and planted on sandy and schist soils, are between 30 and 60 years old, producing a wine with a distinct territorial identity.

The winemaking process involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a long maturation of 20 months in stainless steel, followed by another 2 months in oak barrels to increase complexity and stability. The production process is designed to enhance the aromatic precision and freshness of the varietal.

The nose reveals scents of lime, grapefruit, wildflowers, and light mineral nuances. On the palate, it is subtle yet energetic, with a taut texture, excellent acidity, and a clean, saline finish that reflects its maritime origin.

Excellent with white fish carpaccio, shellfish, or clam-based pasta dishes.
