Description

Clon 98 is a red wine produced in the region of Castrillo de la Vega, Burgos, Castilla y León. It is made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes.

The winemaking process involves 6 months of ageing in French oak barriques. The grapes come from old vineyards, aged between 26 and 50 years, situated at an average altitude of 800 meters. This production method helps create a well-structured and harmonious wine, able to fully express the distinctive characteristics of the Tinto Fino variety (also known as Tempranillo).

The wine shows a deep, inviting ruby color. On the nose, it reveals all the potential of the variety, with aromas of black plum, blackberry, and notes reminiscent of grass and cloves. On the palate, the entry is fresh and vibrant, with good structure, soft tannins, and a medium, balanced finish.

Clon 98 is ideal to pair with roasted meat dishes or aged cheeses.
