Description
The Lindes de Remelluri line was born from Telmo Rodríguez's intuition to explore and enhance the villages bordering the historic Remelluri estate in the Rioja Alavesa. Each wine in the range represents a single village, highlighting its geological and climatic specificities. Viñedos de Ábalos is a red wine from the six labels of this territorial collection, obtained from a blend of native grape varieties: Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha, and other red varieties. The grapes come from vineyards located between 494 and 528 meters in altitude, on clay-limestone marl soils, with vines aged between 40 and 90 years cultivated using biodynamic practices.
The vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel using indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation and an aging of 12 months in French oak barrels of various sizes and ages. This process enhances the varietal purity and terroir expression, maintaining a balance between structure and freshness.
On the nose, vibrant aromas of strawberries, cherries, and a bouquet of violets are perceived, enriched by a subtle balsamic touch that gives freshness. On the palate, it reveals a solid and elegant structure, where minerality plays a central role, offering a rich texture and a persistence that invites you to continue enjoying its complexity.
Ideal for pairing with aged cheeses, red meats, or cured meats.
