Description
Viña Alberdi Reserva is a 100% Tempranillo red wine produced by La Rioja Alta, with grapes sourced from the vineyards of Rodezno and Labastida, located at an altitude of 500-600 meters on clay-limestone soils. It is a genuine expression of Rioja tradition, designed to offer an intense, lively, and delightful tasting experience.
The harvest is done manually with grape selection in the vineyard, followed by refrigerated transport to the winery to preserve the freshness of the grapes. After additional optical selection, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. The wine ages for two years in American oak barrels, new for the first year and four years old for the second, with four traditional manual rackings performed by candlelight, before bottling without aggressive filters.
In appearance, it shows an intense and bright garnet color, with a lively ruby rim. The nose is dominated by intense aromas of red fruits such as raspberries, wild strawberries, and red currants, enriched by balsamic notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted coffee. On the palate, it is long, balanced, and fresh, with fine, silky tannins and a persistent finish where the aromas of red fruit and balsamic return.
It pairs perfectly with appetizers, rice dishes, pasta, soups, grilled meats, and delicate fish.
