Description

The Roero Riserva Mombeltramo di Malvirà is a refined and complex expression of a Nebbiolo del Roero. To obtain this wine with a particular taste-olfactory thickness, the Malvira winery uses a single vineyard, the Mombeltramo.

The soil profile is composed of clay and limestone. Following the harvest of the Nebbiolo bunches, in October, the grapes are pressed and fermented in steel containers. It follows a refinement in wood for a period of 24 months. One year of aging in the bottle makes the wine ready for marketing.

In the glass it is bright, with its ruby red color and its nuances that veer towards garnet. The perfume is reminiscent of berries, chocolate and spices, also confirmed by the taste in a combination of aromatic three-dimensionality and the structure of the body. The pronounced tannin, the freshness and the sapidity presuppose a long life to be savored over time.

Perfect with a grilled fassona fillet.
