Description

The Rosso di Montalcino from the Collezione del Conte by Villa da Filicaja is born from the same vineyards that give rise to the esteemed Brunello di Montalcino.

It is made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, hand-picked once they reach full maturity. After fermentation, the wine is aged in barrels for 6 months, followed by a further 2 months of aging in the bottle.

It is distinguished by a light ruby red color. On the nose, it offers clear scents of violet and rose, accompanied by hints of morello cherry and pink pepper. On the palate, it presents a slight tannicity, while being both fresh and satisfying.

Perfect in the company of game, it is ideal paired with first courses with truffles and devil's chicken.
