Description
The Rosso Piceno Tenuta Pongelli from the Villa Bucci winery is an organic red wine, originating from vineyards located between 250 and 280 meters above sea level in the Castelli di Jesi. The wine is obtained from a blend composed of equal parts Sangiovese and Montepulciano. The clay-calcareous soil and the mixed training system offer ideal conditions for producing a harmonious and balanced red.
The winemaking process involves a maceration on the skins for 7-8 days and fermentation in steel. The aging takes place in wood for a period between 9 and 12 months, with the aim of softening the tannins and integrating the aromatic components without overpowering the freshness of the fruit.
In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruits, plum, cherry, and a light spiciness emerge. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with smooth tannins and good acidity that accompanies the sip in a pleasant and harmonious way.
It pairs well with grilled white meats, meat sauce pasta dishes, and typical Marche cured meats.
