Description

Portia's Verdejo Sobre Ls is an elegant and structured white wine from Rueda, made from Verdejo grapes harvested at night in vineyards located between 600 and 700 meters above sea level. The soils of these plots are primarily composed of gravel and sand on a limestone bed, ideal conditions for perfect drainage and a marked mineral footprint in the wine. The contained yields contribute to the concentration and aromatic freshness of the grapes.

The winemaking process involves controlled fermentation in conical tanks and aging on fine lees with frequent bâtonnage. This process gives the wine volume, softness, and aromatic complexity, enhancing the varietal peculiarities of Verdejo. The quality-focused technical approach allows for a refined and long-lasting white wine.

In appearance, it shows a golden yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of tropical fruits and ripe stone fruits emerge, accompanied by citrus hints and herbal nuances. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with notes of apple and pear, a creamy component, and a slight hazelnut nuance derived from fermentation on the lees.

Perfect with light appetizers such as skewers, smoked salmon, or goat cheese, it pairs harmoniously with all fish and seafood dishes.
